Line, shape and trend of innovative façade design of High Deck bus for medium scale coachbuilder

The role of design as holistic approach in bus design and manufacturing is the main priority in this project with aim to help reduce the bus accident where the main motivation is to propose a better façade design with standard modular system which could be important guideline for quality fabrication and production for commercialization. In Malaysia, the manufacturing of bus only involves building up the coach. They were known as coachbuilder. The façade design research development taking into consideration of material and manufacturing process without neglecting the overall aesthetic with structural aspect and aerodynamic requirements. The method that been used here is photography observation technique, screening and semantic analysis, to identify the direction of the finding, where the finding will help the bus manufacturer to integrated the design process with their manufacturer production process. Therefore, in this work, based on the methodology, we determine the line, shape and trend of innovative façade design of High Deck bus for medium scale coachbuilder.
