Case based reasoning to model building

Model base management systems (MBMSs) handle complicated problems in decision support systems (DSSs). Deductive reasoning approaches are used to construct qualitative models to improve decision performance. A model construction mechanism is proposed based on a case based reasoner with a deductive reasoning mechanism. The case based reasoner performs model construction by retrieving previous similar model building experiences and adapting their solution plans for a new problem. The deductive reasoning mechanism is used to generalize cases in the case base to enlarge the scope of problem solving spaces.<
