Considerations on SDH radio relay systems management

Highlights some management aspects related to SDH digital radio relay systems (SDH DRRS in the next), in order to allow a full integration between SDH DRRS and other SDH network elements. The analysis deals with STM-1 radio relay systems, but it can be extended without significant modifications to other transport levels (sub-STM-1, STM-4, etc.). The following, basic structure of SDH management system planned for SIP network is briefly discussed, in terms of the architecture and information model. Then general guidelines suitable for a full integrated DRRS management are proposed. In particular issues related to identification of SDH DRRS with 'network element' (NE) are discussed.<
