Distribution system protection-the application of modular electronic schemes

The introduction of the modular distribution network protection schemes and philosophy has resulted in a dramatic increase in the number of Phase 2 schemes being applied throughout Eskom's South African distribution network. The schemes provide the necessary building blocks to implement a cost effective approach to the protection of the network, whilst accommodating the diverse requirements of the various regions.<
