Purchasing a Document

When you click to view an article or paper, if you do not subscribe to the publication in which it appears, you have the option of purchasing the document. You can also initiate the purchase of standards through IEEE Xplore.

Purchasing an article or paper:

When you click to view an article or paper that is not in your subscriptions, IEEE Xplore displays a login page. Below the login area is the Access this document area.

1. To begin the purchase process, select the link.
   
   
2. A second window will open, placing the selected item in a shopping chart.
   
   
3. To complete your purchase, select Proceed to Checkout from the shopping cart.
   
   
4. For security purposes, you will be required to login at Checkout with your IEEE web account.
   
   
5. After checkout is complete you will have instant access to the article.
   
   
6. You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase.
   
   
7. Return to IEEE Xplore, and select the Purchase History link to access the document.
   
   
8. You will have 5 days after purchase to access this document.
