Presents a computer-aided design procedure for the popular direct, cascade, parallel, normal, Gray-Markel, and Wave IIR digital filter architectures. These architectures are developed within a common state variable format. Using linear algebraic techniques, the computer-derived filters are analyzed in terms of register overflow and roundoff metrics. In this part the fundamental problem and objecti... An electrical model of a combined photovoltaic/thermal solar array has been developed to predict the steady state behavior of the line currents, power output and array voltage. The effects of temperature on the solar cell characteristics is included in the analysis. The model includes line isolation diodes and `open cell' bypass diodes. A numerical procedure based on the Contraction Mapping Fixed ... View full abstract»

An algorithm is developed to determine the `8275 Programmable CRT Controller' timing parameters for a given CRT monitor requirements and the desired display format. This algorithm has been implemented in BASIC language and executed on the TRS-80 computer. There may not always exist a set of 8275 parameters satisfying simultaneously the monitor and display format requirements. This is allowed for b... View full abstract»
