The journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics is published in Chinese and in English. The Chinese edition (ISSN 1001-506X, first issue in 1979) comes out monthly with English abstracts, and the English edition (ISSN 1004-4132, first issue in 1990) comes out quarterly. Both are high-tech oriented. View full abstract»

  • Modelling problems of hybrid event systems

    Publication Year: 1994, Page(s):1 - 7
IEEE is not the copyright holder of this material | Click to expandAbstract | PDF file iconPDF (750 KB)

This paper discusses the mathematical description of hybrid event systems, consisting of continuous, discrete, even logic-judgment and inference-decision event systems. The description takes events as its core, and information interconnection as its tie. In this paper, an event, instead of a process, is regarded as an analyzed element. The hybrid event systems are described in mathematical models ... View full abstract»

  • A parallel computational scheme on hybrid methods

    Publication Year: 1994, Page(s):8 - 18
IEEE is not the copyright holder of this material | Click to expandAbstract | PDF file iconPDF (911 KB)

Based on the efficient hybrid methods for solving initial value problems of stiff ODEs, this paper derives a parallel scheme that can be used to solve the problems on parallel computers with N processors, and discusses the iteratively B-convergence of the Newton iterative process, finally, the paper provides some numberical results which show that the parallel scheme is highly efficient as N is no... • Implicit 2-step hybrid methods and their stability analysis

    Publication Year: 1994, Page(s):19 - 25
IEEE is not the copyright holder of this material | Click to expandAbstract | PDF file iconPDF (709 KB)

In this paper two implicit 2-step hybrid methods are proposed; one has order five, the other six. The stability properties of the methods are analysed. The 5th order method is proved to be A-stable and the 6th order one is not, but still has a relatively large region of absolute stability. The implementation of the 5th order method is also discussed. View full abstract»

  • Simulation of head-disk collisions in magnetic disk drives

    Publication Year: 1994, Page(s):26 - 32
IEEE is not the copyright holder of this material | Click to expandAbstract | PDF file iconPDF (834 KB)

Head disk collision models of “coefficient-of-restitution” are widely used in the head disk interface simulation. A new head disk collision model called “critical velocity model” has been developed. Numerical simulation of dynamics of a typical Winchester-type slider is presented under the influence of head disk collisions due to disk surface defects such as localize as... View full abstract»

  • A new design method for the octave-band stripline circulators

    Publication Year: 1994, Page(s):33 - 39
IEEE is not the copyright holder of this material | Click to expandAbstract | PDF file iconPDF (743 KB)

In this paper, a new design method for high performance octave-band stripline circulator is given. The optimum design program is given by a construction with double-Y junction aided by a section of quarter-wavelength impedance transformer. All the calculation is simpler than that given by Y. S. Wu, et al[1–7]. Typical performances of the 2–4GHz Y-junction stripline circula... View full abstract»

    Publication Year: 1994, Page(s):40 - 49
IEEE is not the copyright holder of this material | Click to expandAbstract | PDF file iconPDF (1514 KB)

This paper examines the impacts of information technology (IT) on LDCs' competitive conditions, especially the impacts on intra-organization's linkage and technology capability formation via innovation, as the rising of the new paradigms of system integration. And some strategic implications are made. View full abstract»

  • An interactive two-level multiobjective decision method

    Publication Year: 1994, Page(s):50 - 56
IEEE is not the copyright holder of this material | Click to expandAbstract | PDF file iconPDF (735 KB)

In view of two-level multiobjective decision making problem, and employing satisfactoriness of objective function and trade-off rate between objective functions, an interactive two-level multiobjective decision making method is proposed in this paper. By using the method, the obtained solution can be acceptable to both the follower and the requirement of the leader. It's an efficient method to sol... View full abstract»
