    The results of an experimental investigation of field distributions in Aroclor 1242(R) are presented. It is shown that both time average and instantaneous values of the electric field between plane parallel aluminum electrodes can be described by an exponential relationship for a range of electrode spacings.     The charging tendency of pellets of some synthetic high polymers are measured with a newly developed charging chamber in which the pellets are charged repeatedly by impacts against a metal plate by the use of a compressed air flow.     A new monitor of hydrogen gas dissolved in transformer oil is described and tested under different conditions.
