    The paper shows, with an example and a generalized discussion, the effect of stray capacitance in various parts of the antenna circuit upon the observed circuit resistance.     A chopper approximately the size of a radio receiving tube, for small voltages and currents, is described. A tiny contacting member with microscopic working gap provides nearly noiseless operation at 120 cycles.
