  • The influence of information technology integrated into the creative thinking instruction of the professional machinery subjects on the students' creativity

    This study is to determine the influence of creative thinking instruction information technology integrated into the mechanical professional subjects of vocational high schools. This research has adopted the "nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design" in quasi-experiment design. The study instruments include: The "Torrance creative thinking ability" and questionnaire survey on the learning reactions. Such statistic methods have used the one-way analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), frequency distribution, etc. From the study results, it has been found that: 1. The students' creative thinking abilities have contributed significantly more in originality and elaboration of figural creative thinking abilities than the students in the control group. 2. The students' creative thinking abilities have contributed significantly more in the fluency, flexibility, and originality of verbal creative thinking abilities than the students in control group. 3. The students have profound experiences in the topics related to creativity and have provided positive feedbacks. 4. The teachers must establish a learning environment and study constantly in order to link the teaching methods covered in the teaching material and real life. The students' creativity has been effectively improved through evaluations throughout the entire learning process, and the products have been completed concurrently. View full abstract»

    This paper, based on the research framework of the SECI model, taking the online course "computer animation" in Wenzhou university of China as a sample and establishing the content analysis as the main research method. The features of online interactive statements and actions are investigated by means of the knowledge such as socialization, externalization, combination, internalization and innovation, etc, respectively.     Mobile learning is now widely used all over the world simply because it allows students to learn anytime and anywhere through the information and communication technologies (ICT). Through the interaction between teachers and students, and exchanges among the peer groups, students can practise all kinds of learning activities. Its portability and ability to be interactive facilitate its support to different formats of learning. This paper aims to demonstrate how a mobile learning system co-developed by the academics and commercial field experts helps a class of secondary one students enhance their observation skills in the field study. By using the well-designed pedagogical activities, worksheets catering for students' ability and the various functions in mobile learning system and its accessories, students were observed able to complete the learning tasks effectively and efficiently through co-operation. Research instruments also include students sample scripts, pre-test and post-test questionnaires, students' reflections and teachers' teaching diaries etc. Data collected showed that the knowledge gained by the students after the activity had significantly increased while most of the students preferred this kind of study mode. Teachers also recognised the progress of students' observation skills. The only argument on this system was that this kind of teaching mode would involve more labour force and resources than any traditional teaching method and, the requirements of system stability and the needs of other built-in functions in teaching.   • Computer multiple dynamic representation and the concept construction of weather unit to third-grade elementary school students

    Author planned to discuss Multiple Dynamic Representation with interactive whiteboards when learning triple points of Weather Unit and the impact of dynamic representation that affects science construction. Quasi-experiments was applied in the research, author had third-grade students whose classes were under normal grouping to be samples. The control group was a class with 23 students who were under direct instruction, and the experimental group were 2 classes with 54 students who were under Multiple Dynamic Representation instruction. Furthermore, author took last semester scores of students as pre measurement value, and the scores of students after the teaching as post-measurement value, most important of all, the difference between scores of science concept construction test were analyze. It shows that: 1. Students are highly interested with the material of instruction that with dynamic representation. 2. It's useful to construct students' Weather Unit of concept through applying dynamic representation when present abstractive concepts. 3. The most significant and positive reaction (when applying dynamic representation to present abstractive concepts) was found in low and middle-scored group, then mid-scored group, and there are no significant effects to high-scored group. 4. Technology readiness will affect learning effects. IWB to show multiple dynamic characterization of the interest and the effectiveness of interest and self-assessment produced by the interaction with a significant impact, and usefulness of the IWB is not obvious.   • A study on the online learning strategy of the college students at normal university with qualitative research

    The online learning strategy of the college students at normal university is not only related to their own learning effects, but also did a close correlation to the instructional strategies of future teachers. This study adopts qualitative research methods, carries on to do in-depth and detailed study through the research of establishing individual study on two college students at normal university. The results were as follows: First, the cognitive strategies of the college students at normal university are simple. Second, the monitoring strategy of students has significant influence on resource management strategies. Third, the supporters of students in network environment tend to classmates and friends. Last but not least, the online learning strategy level of boys is relatively rather than girls. At last, based on the research findings, this paper puts forward some cultivatable strategies from the aspects of autonomic learning awareness, teacher's guide, retrieval curriculum, e-learning conditions. This study establishes a virtual parent-child interactive game platform that allows mutual experiences with vivid situational substitution and role immersion.     Evidence-based learning is an individual level of evidence-based process to achieve learning goals, which is a new learning style supported by the information technology. As a kind of problem based learning, evidence-based learning emphasizes the critical appraisal of the learners to the learning content, which is beneficial for cultivating students' critical thinking. Through the analysis of relevant references, the article elaborates the connotation, patterns as well as process of evidence-based learning, and probes into the information technology's support to it from learning resources, process, evaluation and reflection.     In this study, project based learning was introduced into the course of Instructional System Design, and corresponding teaching experiments were designed and implemented. 33 educational technology majors, undergraduates of grade 2008, from Ning Bo university participated in the teaching experiment and were divided into 10 project groups: firstly, each group determined their project subject through consultation; then, they carried out the design and development of the project by using instructional design models, and finally, produced their own teaching products. Case analysis and survey showed that PBL can cultivate students' ability in solving practical problems with systematic methods and arouse their enthusiasm and motivation.     The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of OID (Optical Identify) device application on English learning in an elementary school in Taipei City. This study employ OID (Optical Identify) code to construct a situated learning environment and content based on English learning guideline of Taipei City, and the students can use OID device to learn English. OID device is cheap, so it can be used as a personal aided mobile learning tool for promoting English listening comprehension ability. This study conducts a learning experiment by using one group quasi-experiment design method. The subjects are 153 fifth and sixth grade students, and they are asked to accept remedial learning or do self-regulated learning. The results indicate that the students have a significant achievement on English listening comprehension test after statistical analysis of pretest and posttest pair-wised t test, nevertheless, the low social economic students do not attain significant improvement.     The main purpose of this research aims at discussing the point of view that those mathematics teachers of grade 6 -7th in Taiwan incorporate ICT into teaching. By means of this research, it can be understood what items are suitable for incorporating ICT into the norm of the annual detailed catalogue of Nine-year Consistent Curriculum (NCC), and it will provide the reference that ICT accesses development of teaching methods. In accordance with the norm of the annual detailed catalogue of grade 6-7th mathematics course outline of Nine-year Consistent Curriculum (NCC),the researcher devises the forms of questionnaire, sampling 26 mathematics teachers in clusters from 26 junior high schools of south Taiwan to probe into the adaptability of ICT incorporating to teaching. Consequently, this research can be shown as follows: the first, as far as teachers' viewpoints are concerned, it is not appropriate that incorporating ICT into the norm item of the annual mathematics detailed catalogue is better than traditional one. The second, in terms of Geometry norm item of the annual detailed catalogue, it would be the most adaptable for ICT. The third, as regards the tendency to teachers' teaching, there are more appropriate to incorporating ICT into mathematics teaching by the sequence of items n-3-16, n-3-17 s-3-0:K s-3-02. The forth, so far as the specialty of multimedia application is concerned, there are more adaptable for incorporating ICT into six items such as n-3-06, n-3-08, n-3-15, s-3-03, a-3-11, a-3-12 in order.
