    For the purpose of testing the dynamic performance of prototypes of TX6916 floor type boring-milling machine, the finite elements and test methods are adopted for vibration study of spindle. With ANSYS, the modal analysis on the spindle is adopted. On the basis of the three-dimensional solid model, the finite element model of the shaft-spindle system is established, and the first fifth-order natural vibration frequency and principal mode are obtained. With the thumper method, the dynamic response test is made for the spindle. According to comparison and analysis of the test data and the calculation results of the finite elements, the rationality of the finite element model is verified, and the source of error is analyzed.     The attribute reduction algorithm based on Skowron discernibility matrix is paid more attention, because of its intuition and understandability, however it only applies to compatible decision tables. In this paper, first, we analyze the cause of the error in solving attribute reduction of incompatible decision tables and then an improved discernibility matrix algorithm of attribute reduction based on consistency degree is given, finally, the validity of the algorithm is verified by our instance analysis. Through the traffic characteristics and road structure analysis of merge area, and then adjust the vehicle lane, you can effectively improve the traffic capacity of merge area. Base on elevated road survey data of shanghai, from the relationship analysis between lane width and speed and capacity to proceed, fitting the data using mathematical software to obtain the outer lane headway distribution, and based on gap - accepted theoretical calculation of the ramp capacity, establishing the urban elevated road ramp merge area analysis model about lane adjust, the example analysis of Shanghai proved the feasibility of the model.   • Transaction level modeling tradeoff on accuracy and speed: A case study

    Nowadays, electronic system level (ESL) design has attracted more and more attentions as it could help designers in SoC architecture design and HW/SW co-verification in early design stage hence reducing time-to-market. In this paper we propose a transaction level modeling (TLM) method for architecture design space exploration in ESL design environment. This method offers a modeling and simulation speedup and still provides relatively accurate performance evaluation. As a case study the proposed method has been used to model 32-bit C*CORE CPU and C*Core Local Bus (CLB). In these models a multi-clock triggered wrapper is proposed to meet the cycle accurate requirement,and an index method is used for variable-length opcode decoding. In order to verify the effectiveness of our work, we have built a SoC in ESL design environment.   • Optimization for water enviroment fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on information entropy

    According to the water environment assessment characteristics, the fuzzy comprehensive model was optimized. First, the exponential membership function was put forward. The problem was solved that the result was warped because the affect of this indicator was neglected when the membership function of non-neighboring grade is zero. Second, when the overstandard ratio of some indicator is huge, the indicator was excessively relied on during the evaluation. The introduction of the information entropy has revised the weight coefficient with the overstandard ratio. The result in the test showed the evaluation result is more reasonable. V-Cycle development approach based on rapid control prototyping is introduced to develop navigation and guidance systems efficiently.     Using the energy equivalent hypothesis, combining the tension and compression constitutive relation of concrete material in the code for design of concrete structure, the scalar form of damage variable is introduced and a new concrete damage model is proposed so as to use for damage analysis in concrete structures. In order to the unilateral incision concrete beams with a four-point shear loading, for example, this model is developed for structural damage analysis in the ABAQUS finite element software. And the damage is found on the right of upper incision. The damage max value is 0.9162. The damage zone prolongates downward along a curve form. The results show that the model damage evolution results accord the tendency of digital speckle test results. It means that the damage model for concrete structural damage analysis is feasible.     Many incentive schemes are adopted by the life-insurance company to encourage life insurance sales staffs to stimulate their potential, to improve performance and in order to improve the core competitiveness of the life-insurance company. The importance of all elements in incentive schemes has become the research core in this article. The pattern of questionnaire is adopted in the research to collect the firsthand information, which is designed according to the status quo of life insurance sales staffs and the basic incentive schemes usually used in life-insurance company and adopts Likert Five-point scoring method. Statistical analysis of data is done by applying SPSS12.0 statistical software, factor analysis done special to the importance of all incentive factors in questionnaire, accordingly the suggestions of optimizing the incentive schemes of life insurance agents.     Based on the analyses of city rail traffic passenger flow prediction, characters, and conclusion of common method, the paper put forward that the prediction should improve and modify the flexibility of the traditional method, using the current sources utmost, in order to satisfy the demand of traffic passenger flow prediction. Then, the application of four-stage method prediction was discussed in the paper, based on the study of current method and the combination of the example of Harbin No 1 subway traffic passenger flow prediction.   • Rapid geological modeling by using implicit 3D potential field interpolation method

    This paper presents a novel approach to rapid modeling geological structures in 3D from data available in geology and mineral exploration, namely the geological map and a DTM, structural data, borehole data and interpretations of the geologist. This original method has been developed to model geology using the location of the geological interfaces and orientation data from structural field. Both types of data are cokriged to interpolate a continuous 3D potential-field scalar function describing the geometry of the geology. Geology contact locations set the position of reference isovalues while orientation data are the gradients of the scalar function.   • Research on model of indoor distance measurement based on receiving signal strength

    Distance measurement based on RSSI is a low-cost and low complexity of the distance measurement technique, and it is widely applied in the range-based localization of the Wireless Sensor Networks. Because t there is a non line of sight and multipath transmission effects as the indoor environment, the ranging error is relatively large. In the method of eliminating ranging error, using linear regression analysis of the RF signal transmission parameters A and n to optimize the constants obtains to meet specific environmental parameters. Proposed two kinds of filtering model for filtering collected RSSI.   • A novel 3D surface modeling based on Spatial Neighbor Points Coupling in reverse engineering

    A novel 3D surface modeling method - 3D Surface Modeling based on Spatial Neighbor Points Coupling (SMSNPC) for scattered data points is addressed in this article. The main contribution contains two aspects: First, the 3D model of complex surface can be reconstructed through SMSNPC. Then, model parameters are recognized with Artificial Neural Network (ANN). To demonstrate the efficient applicability of the new algorithm, two groups of point data are presented. One collected by handheld laser scanner is used to validate the reconstruction result, and the other is used to be compared with non-coupling modeling. From the results, the new approach validates the expectation that SMSNPC can match the real complex surface satisfactorily which can't be finished by non-coupling modeling. By comparing the same sample data with non-coupling modeling, it is shown the reconstruction precision of SMSNPC is much higher. View full abstract»

    Performance evaluation of distributed system is always an intricate undertaking where system behavior is normally distributed among several components those are physically distributed. Bearing this concept in mind, we delineate a performance modeling framework for a distributed system that proposes a translation process from high level UML notation to SPN model and solves the model for relevant performance metrics. To capture the system dynamics through our proposed framework we outline a specification style that focuses on UML collaboration and activity as reusable specification building blocks. To present the UML specification style we focus on how to coordinate explicitly multiple collaborative sessions occurring at the same time. Design alternatives of system architectures are considered to generate the performance model to show how these design alternatives thus affect the system performance under different work load. The proposed performance modeling framework provides prediction result of a system such as mean response time.     Trees' computer modeling has been widely used in the construction of a virtual natural scene. Poplar, as a common tree species in mid-latitude region, is very essential in real landscape. Up to now, in the models libraries of many commonly used applications on tree growth simulation, it is hard to find poplar species models. In this paper, the result of analysis and statistics on measured shape parameters and data trends of some 3-year Populur × euramericana cv. “74/76” (Poplar 107) trees was shown at first. And then models of Poplar 107 were established using a hierarchical parameter modeling method. At the last part, further study was prospected.   • Safety factor analysis for traffic accident scene based on computer simulation

    In order to improve safety level in traffic accident scene and protect traffic police, safety factors in traffic accident scene were classified into human factors, vehicle factors, road and environment factors and management factors. Applying with system dynamic, system causality graph and flowchart of system dynamic were established. The initial values of parameters were acquired by use of AHP and expert estimation. Using system simulation, the relations between changing of every factors and changing of safety degree in accident scenes were obtained.   • Vertical distribution analysis of forest biomass changes

    Forest plays an important role in the global carbon cycle, carbon sequestration based on forest biomass is an important part in the global efforts to reduce emissions. Research on distribution of the biomass can deepen the understanding of the carbon cycle. Remote sensing with the characteristics of cyclical and regional coverage has become an effective means of forest biomass regional survey. we established regression model between NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and forest biomass based on Landsat TM and ETM data, on this basis, calculated forest biomass of 1970s, 1980s and 1990s in Changbai Mountain area of Heilongjiang, Combined with GIS software the spatial changes pattern of forest biomass of the study area was discussed, especially the trend of the forest biomass with elevation, slope, aspect changes respectively. It concluded that the spatial vertical distribution of forest biomass in the study area is: in the elevation of 300 meters the forest biomass is maximum, about 35%, the higher elevation the smaller forest biomass; the distribution of forest biomass with the slope of the descending order is the gentle slope> flat slope> incline slope> steep slope> urgent slope> dangerous slope; and forest biomass in the region of aspect less than 5° is the largest, reaching 28%. In the past three decades, forest biomass change with the aspect almost consistent, all emerged the following rules: forest biomass in southeast slope and southwest slope has the proportion of the smallest is about 7%.   • Application of numerical simulation in the design of wire-mesh mist eliminator

    Previous design of wire-mesh mist eliminator relies on enormous experiments and consumes a lot. In this paper, its pressure drop is simulated by numerical simulation, and non-simplified three-dimensional calculation model is established. After calculated under the flow velocity of 3-10m/s and compared it with the experimental data, the results show that the numerical simulation result achieves a very high precision. Meanwhile, the influence of different wire diameter and space between wire-mesh layers on the pressure drop of mist eliminators is studied and the proper space between wire-mesh layers within the scope of wire-diameter is 0.6mm-0.8mm. Two types of model were verified through the model experiment and the experimental error is less than 4%, which can be a theoretical guidance for designing mesh filter. View full abstract»

    A simulation method that uses discrete event simulation for availability evaluation of Surface-to-Air missile weapon systems is presented. The method uses the R&M&S data at subsystem level and the information about system topology to infer the availability information at system level by modeling the operating process of weapon system.
