  • Research of self-adaptive Chroma Space Model Skin-color Algorithm Based on Illumination and its application to erotic webpage filtering

    Network erotic information can do very bad influences on people. Skin-color detection is the key technique to the Face Recognition and Erotic Image Filtering etc. Aiming at skin color Algorithm for now is not adequately considering the illumination information, the paper presents a new approach to detecting skin-color pixels in multicolor images based on the Chroma Space Model-Self-adaptive Chroma Space Model Skin-color Algorithm Based on Illumination. The paper colligates the distributed feature in YUV and YIQ color space, and differentiates skin color according to the I component of YIQ, angle of UV and illumination of images. The experimental results show obvious superiority in the yellow, black (Asian, African) and white skins (occidental). This new algorithm achieves 93.4795%, and error rate and detection time comparatively do not have much changes. The paper applies the algorithm to image filtering, and combines it with URL and keywords filtering to realize erotic webpage filtering. It overcomes the lags and limitations of the filtering software and realizes the possibility of supervising and analyzing webpage online with little affections to the net normal operation.   • Research on functional models for IP-based optical network

    Wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) is basically frequency division multiplexing in the optical frequency domain, where on a single optical fiber there are multiple communication channels at different wavelengths. In this paper, we first analyze the different IP/WDM networking functional models, then discuss the IP over switched WDM architecture. We present an analysis the potential benefits of MPLS networks. Currently, the optical network technology holds the key to the next-generation networks. In particular, wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) networks have emerged as a promising candidate for next-generation networks providing large available bandwidth. In the paper, a kind of multi-disk broadcasting dispatching technology is presented based on hyper graph, which can determine the amount of disks, the contribution of data items to each disks and their relative frequency by computer.   • The analysis and design of two-dimensional nearly-orthogonal symmetric wavelet filter

    The analysis and design of two-dimensional nearly-orthogonal symmetric wavelet filter has been studied. Methods for analyzing the correlation of the nearly-orthogonal filter banks are proposed. The basic idea is to impose multiple zeros at the aliasing frequency to a symmetric filter, minimize the deviation of the filter satisfying the orthogonal condition, then a nearly orthogonal filter bank can be obtained. The way in this paper is to find a FIR complementary filter of the minimized filter and thus construct a perfect reconstructed biorthogonal filter bank. Then a corresponding wavelet filter bank can be generated and correlation analysis can also be conducted. View full abstract»

  • DSP practical solutions for motor control using DSP-Controller

    The performance of a DSP architecture allows an intelligent approach to reduce the complete system costs of digital motion control applications using cheaper electrical motors, fewer sensors, and smaller sizes of EMI filters. To provide also a cost optimal solution Texas Instruments developed a single chip solution combining the features of a Microcontroller and the performance advantages of a DSP core. This - so called “DSP-Controller” delivers the real-time MIPS and the tightly integrated peripherals to implement optimal control algorithms with no cost penalty. This paper deals with an overview of DSP solutions in digital motor control applications whereby the focus will be the DSP-Controller and its applications.     In this paper, we briefly introduce the AVS-M, show the SATD function definition and the role of it. And then, we optimize the SATD function in AVS-M in four parts: expand cycle, use macro definition to the absolute value calculation, use the C library function instead of macro definition, merger the final step of Hadamard_Transform. In this paper, we briefly analyze the inter prediction tools available in the Baseline profile of the h.264 coding standard.   • A new generic generating algorithm for rank n integer DCT transform radix

    In this paper, a new generic generating algorithm for rank n integer DCT transform radix is proposed. The relation of amounts of coefficients in radix and rank of matrix and an generic generating algorithm for rank n (n=2 k ,k>0) integer DCT transform radix are found and proved in this paper based on theory of integer DCT and characteristic of cosine function. Through reordering variations of coefficient, the mid-polynomials have strong laws. The group of polynomials in N variable is resolved by design a N-digits with M as radix implementing N-loops. The experimental result show that the algorithm can find all valid radix for n×n (n=2 k ,k>0) integer DCT if computers power enough. View full abstract»

  • Scalable video coding based on frequency spectrum in AVS

    This paper presents a new algorithm of scalable video coding base on frequency spectrum. Data partition in MPEG-2 is an early scalable video coding base on spectrum, but it is rough in scalable granularity and low in practicability, while the algorithm proposed in this paper can achieve finer granularity of scalability (9 levels). The algorithm base on frequency spectrum has flexible scalability, low complexity and high efficiency, but it brings a problem of error accumulation through prediction. Because if it only transmits part of DCT coefficients, it makes reference frames of encoder differ from reference frames of decoder which results in error accumulation. This problem is solved by setting references frames in transform region in this paper. AVS-P2 is a new generation of video coding standard with independent intellectual property in China, and it has become a national standard. In this paper, the algorithm of scalable video coding is combined with AVS-P2 and is realized under the framework of AVS-P2. Finally, the algorithm was realized based on the software codec model version rm52j of AVS-P2 and testified the scalable video coding model through several tests. View full abstract»

    Through the research and analysis of search requests to the shared resource on the network, we have designed and implemented a distributed resource search engine that can achieve the following functions: when users search resources on Web, they need only log on a single server and can retrieve the resources exists on multiple servers. Article discusses the background of system design, the main functions of software, getting the state of the server, optimum word segment searching, XML data mode of operation in more detail.   • DSP-based codecs for convolutional codes

    Channel coding is a crucial element to any communication system. Convolutional code is currently the most frequently used code, whose performance is very good. It is the most practical way for channel coding too. However, its hardware is complexity, and computation speed has become an obstacle to improvement of communication speed. This article aims at convolutional coding, in particular the decoding algorithm based on the DSP to achieve (2,1,7) convolutional code encoding and decoding process.
