    To carry out 3-D (three dimensions) design for the group of piston crankshaft connecting rod, the top-down method is used. The group of piston crankshaft connecting rod is designed and each part is modeled in Pro/E. Pro/E is a solid modeler and this offers considerable advantage for solid model creation. Normally, the geometry is first sketched in 2-D and then extruded in the third direction to generate a 3-D model. In Pro/E, it is important to first create the base geometry. The base geometry is that geometry that captures the design intent of the part to be modeled. This base geometry can be created using either the EXTRUDE or the REVOLVE options. Once this base geometry has been created, additional features like holes, rounds, chamfers, fillets, ribs, etc can be added in the finishing stages of the part creation. The center of the bowl does not coincide with the center of the cylinder due to the presence of valve pockets. The obvious advantage of this configuration is that is gives the true geometry of the piston and the presence of connecting rod means that the connecting rod ports can be accommodated when the piston is at the top dead center. In addition to the crankshaft with connecting rod, fly gear will also be added. Various instances of this configuration will then be created using the ¿Family Table¿ option of Pro/E wildfire in an attempt to optimize the engine performance. The presence of the connecting rod will make the mesh creation process more challenging for the modeler. This means that the numerical computation will be more intensive. View full abstract»

    Through the research to the 3D-parking scheduling, bring forward the use of GAAA algorithm to search for the shortest path with shortest time in parking scheduling firstly, the GAAAA algorithm inosculate the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Ant Algorithm (AA), which make up the shortcoming of GA and AA very well. Furthermore, through the simulation analysis proved that GAAA have better performance than GA in solving efficiency, The use of this kind of parking scheduling of solid garage, it makes the parking scheduling of solid garage step to automation and intelligent more forward.   • Research on a New Combined Algorithm for Computing Minimal Hitting Sets

    In model-based diagnosis, a key step is to compute the minimal hitting sets (in brief, MHS) from the minimal conflict sets (in brief, MCS). Taking aim at the problem of existing algorithms, a new combined algorithm which can compute MHS was presented. The algorithm is consisted of three parts: the first part is to build a classified hitting sets tree (in brief, CHS-tree); the second part is the Recursive Boolean Algorithm which can compute the MHS from CHS-tree; and the third part given the resolve of the case that some new conflict sets were inserted. The combined algorithm was improved in the aspects as follows. (1) needs not being pruned; (2) can derive all MHS directly; (3) when some new conflict sets were inserted, it was not necessary to rebuild CHS-tree. Finally example of some case was given to demonstrate the algorithm. Experiment results show that the combined algorithm is effective and adapts to resolve practical diagnosis problem.   • Research on a Novel Method for Measuring Volumetric Error of Coordinate Measuring Machine

    CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is used as an accurate measuring instrument in manufacturing and design of products. High accurate CMM is required by the development of super-finish, micro-machinery, micro-electronic mechanical systems (MEMS). The precision of CMM is influenced by its volumetric error and dynamic error. The volumetric error is the major component during slowly probing, but the dynamic error is not omitted during fast probing. Compensating the volumetric error is an effective approach to improve the precision of CMM. The volumetric error in the working space of CMM must be measured and the error model must be set up before compensating. In this paper, a novel method to measure 5 volumetric errors of a guide way at the same time by 3-beam laser interferometer is proposed. The error compensating model is validated by experiment. The method can also be used to measure the dynamical error of CMM and CNC machine in real-time. The research can be referred to design the super higher accurate CMM and the accurate CNC machine.   • Research on Automatic Section Cutting Control of Roadheader

    In order to control the section cutting of roadheader automatically, we establish the functional relationship of deflexion angle of cantilever, extension of hydraulic cylinder and position of cutting head. Before controlling roadheader to cut, the range of cutting section is set through the space coordinates, and the reference position of the cutting head should be established. Then we control the cutting head to cut the section by deflexion angle of cantilever and extension of hydraulic cylinder. The microcontroller calculates the space position of the cutting head by the parameters of deflexion angle of cantilever and extension of hydraulic cylinder, then, we adjust the control parameters for completing the automatic control of roadway cross-section cutting.     Basic characteristics of piezoelectric system shunted with negative capacitance are studied in this paper. After established general frequency domain equations of piezoelectric system shunted with negative capacitance, the expressions of natural frequency, dynamic stiffness and generalized electro-mechanical coupling factor are obtained. For the case there is only a negative capacitance in the shunting circuit, natural frequency of piezoelectric system will be changed with the ratios of open-circuited inherent piezoelectric capacitance and negative capacitance; what's more, it can move to any frequency when the proper ratio is given. The dynamic stiffness dependent on the above mentioned ratio will become soft or rigid at specific frequency regions. For piezoelectric system shunted with negative capacitance in series or parallel, the generalized electro-mechanical coupling factor could be enhanced to nearly 1 when the ratios change in different regions.     Virtual NC machine tool as an execution unit of virtual manufacturing is one of key technologies. The behavior simulation of NC machine tool based on virtual reality is a difficult problem for a long time. A hierarchy structure of NC behavior simulation was proposed. Firstly, the movement behavior of machine tool and behavior interactive model were analyzed in detail, and an even handle model based on message response mechanism was proposed. Then, Researched collision detection algorithm of virtual machine tool and provided a rationality evaluation method to these algorithm, a dynamic model of workpiece based on triangular mesh was established, and the process of real-time cutting was expatiated. Finally, the behavior simulation was realized by means of using Visual C++6.0, OpenGL, Virtools and so on, It can verify the rationality of NC process planning and be used in training area.   • Research on Channel Characteristics of Through-the-Earth Communication Based on FDTD Method

    The channel characteristic of through-the-earth communication is calculated and simulated by Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method. The reflection and transmission coefficients are obtained based on the different electric parameters in the channel. And the propagating characteristics of the layered earth in a loop antenna are investigated. The result can be served as a helpful guideline to design the through-the-earth communication system.     Research on circuit and control system of an environment-friendly equipment applied to hot-phosphating of the drill collar coupling screw thread has been carried out. In terms of the hot-phosphating processing, the functions and requirements of the control system of the equipment were established, which are the essential aim that we design the system. Accordingly, the designs and calculations to the key parts of the circuit and control system have been accomplished. Using PLC, achieved the controlling of the circuit and control system. The whole installation is total-closed and its structure is simple and compact. So this equipment has some important merits such as easy operation and maintenance, low cost of manufacturing and running, high utilization rate and easy maintenance of the phosphating solution.     This paper mainly focused on the theoretical studies of the linear rudder electric servo loading system. The mathematical model of motor servo loading system is established. Then, the disturbance force which would influence the system's dynamic performance is analyzed. In order to improve the accuracy of loading system, a feedforward-PID control algorithm is proposed.     A novel direct torque control strategy, using genetic algorithm on-line to optimize the fuzzy PI controller, is proposed. In this approach, according to speed error and its first time derivative, the proportional coefficient Kp and integral coefficient Ki can be on-line adjusted by fuzzy adaptive PI speed regulation, and the fuzzy logic adapter parameters are optimized by genetic algorithm to improve the self-adaptation of speed. Moreover, the second fuzzy logic controller is applied to select the voltage vector instead of the conventional hysteresis controllers. In this paper, a comparative study between fuzzy PI direct torque control and proposed approach shows that not only the speed response, overshoot and speed steady precision have been improved, but also the torque, flux and stator current ripples have been effectively decreased at low speed, and the robustness of the whole system has been enhanced.     Structure and principle of a new kind of diphase opposition giant magnetostrictive self-sensing actuator (SSA for short) is introduced, for which a kind of double outputs high-precision digital control stable voltage power is designed. With the method of combining with the hardware design and the software setting, the controllability and reliability of the actuator are greatly improved. And the whole design becomes more reasonable, which saves the cost and improves the practicability. The simulation result shows that the voltage power can high-speed and accurately control both output voltages, and that the power amplifier circuit can amplifying output power without distortion in tolerance. In addition, based on the bridge analysis model with variable inductance, dynamic balance separation technology for the SSA with least means square self-adapting (LMS) algorithm is put forward. And based on the micro controller unit (MCU) with high-speed control, the scheme design of the real-time separation circuit for dynamic balance signal can effectively identify out and pick up the induction signal which changes from foreign pressure feed back.     The drying of honeycomb paperboard is an important step to guarantee the quality and the shape of honeycomb paperboard. The dryer model was established in FEM software and simplified to calculate the data required based on analysis of drying mechanism. The temperature field, speed field, pressure distribution and the flow direction of fluid were analyzed. Some key factors influenced the drying process of honeycomb paperboard were obtained.     Using the large-amplitude elongated-body theory and the calculation formula of the drag force of the robotic fish improved in this paper, the dynamics model of the plane motion of the robotic fish was built. Then, a 3D simulation model of the robotic fish based on ADAMS is established, at the basis of which, a simulation was made to analyze the influence of the kinematics parameters to the cruising velocity and the swing angle of the robotic fish body. The simulation result shows that the dynamics model established is reasonable and effective, and the simulation analysis provides the theoretical basis for the design and study of the robotic fish.     In view of the relative backward status of the energy-saving control technology for hydraulic excavators, a control method with fuzzy neural network (shorted as FNN) is proposed. A standard model's fuzzy neural network is used as the controller, in which the back propagation algorithm (BP algorithm) is applied.     A novel 5-UPS-PRPU PCMM (parallel coordinate measuring machine) mechanism that can perform three-dimensional translations and two rotations is proposed. In order to enhance the measuring precision of the PCMM, a method for its position and posture errors compensation is then put forward. According to the error model of the PCMM, its position and posture errors compensation model is derived. Then, through the control of the actuating limbs errors of the PCMM, a real-time compensation for its position and posture errors could be realized.   • Research on Fatigue Life of the Automobile Differential Case

    Basing on the fatigue breaking of the differential case of the drive axle with the material of nodular graphite cast iron, the fatigue analysis is made. According to the criterion of `Q/T 543-1999 Drive Axle Bench Test Standard', with the fatigue software FEMFAT 4.7D, the research on the cumulative damage and endurance limit safety factors in differential case is studied in terms of the Miner modified fatigue theory. The reason of the failure of the differential case can be sure that the stress concentration is at the region of the differential shaft hole in the differential case, and the safety factors are beyond the safe yield limit of the material QT450-10. Same is the comparison of the experimental results to simulation results on the failure sample, which is sure that the fatigue analysis method is reasonable and effective. It is helpful to optimize the structure parameter in the differential case design through the optimization algorithm for the drive axle in the automobile. View full abstract»
