  • The Comprehensive Application Study of GRA and ISM in System Structure Analysis

    Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) is an effective approach to analyze the complex system structure. The adjacency matrix represents the relations between and among system elements and the system digraph can be drawn by deduction of the reachability matrix. The adjacency matrix is usually built by experts' experience. Because the process does not take the corresponding data of system elements into account, the adjacency matrix is lack of objectivity and accuracy. In this paper, the adjacency matrix is built using grey relational analysis (GRA). The grey incidence matrix is derived considering the relevant behavioral sequences as referential behavior sequence in turn and the system digraph is drawn using ISM. The paper gives the theoretical deduction and the specific calculation steps of the above approach. The validity of the method is verified by the application of China's water transport system.     Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has a widespread application in reality, and RFID wireless network planning is a core challenge in the deployment of RFID networks. This paper presents a new approach for optimal scheduling of RFID network based on our proposed MCPSO algorithm. RFID network planning problem is identified as a graph partitioning problem by mapping the readers in RFID network into the particles in MCPSO algorithm. The optimal scheduling schemes can be obtained through the competition and collaboration of particles in MCPSO. Our proposed method is evaluated against a test scenario using a RFID network with 15 readers. The simulation results are also compared with standard PSO, BFO and greedy algorithm to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of MCPSO. View full abstract»

    Strict Integrity Policy (SIP) of Biba model can maintain the integrity of computer systems, but it might decrease the compatibility of applications. An improved SIP with dynamic characteristics based on the subject's history behavior is presented. The improved policy has been applied to OpenID, which shows that it can improve the compatibility of the system while keeping the integrity as strict as SIP can. View full abstract»

    Network application cooperation fair congestion control (NACF) method is proposed for Internet congestion control. The basic idea of NACF is the coordination between network and application. The core mechanisms are hierarchical rate coding and dropping algorithm in network and the flow control by analyzing the acknowledged packets with rate code in application. the basic algorithm is introduced and the framed structure and functional model of the algorithm is described.     Cloud computing is the development of parallel computing, distributed computing and grid computing. It has been one of the most hot research topics. Now many corporations have involved in the cloud computing related techniques and many cloud computing platforms have been put forward. This is a favorable situation to study and application of cloud computing related techniques. Though interesting, there are also some problems for so many flatforms. For to a novice or user with little knowledge about cloud computing, it is still very hard to make a reasonable choice. What differences are there for different cloud computing platforms and what characteristics and advantages each has? To answer these problems, the characteristics, architectures and applications of several popular cloud computing platforms are analyzed and discussed in detail.   • Application on Seepage Monitoring by Multi-point Optical Fiber Grating Temperature Measurement System

    The structure of the multi-point Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) temperature measurement system is presented in this paper. It uses the wavelength demodulation method which applies In GaAs detector array to measure the light intensity to monitor the situation of the seepage in the dam. According to the laboratory data, analyze the possibility of the multi-point fiber grating sensor system and the reliability of the measured data, the result shows that the wavelength-temperature response sensitivity of the fiber grating sensor can reach 0.0091 nm/°C of the temperature field in the dam. Using the electric heat pulse method to heat the soil around the sensors is adopted in engineering application, it forms the temperature difference with the water, the engineering result shows that the method which uses fiber grating to detect temperature difference can apply to monitor seepage. Consequently, this system can realize the positioning of concentrated seepage points in the dam and automatic monitoring. Compared with conventional instruments, the fiber grating sensing monitoring system has obvious advantages in resistance to thunderbolts and disturbances. View full abstract»

  • Noise Reduction Technology of Random Vibration Signal Based on Singular Entropy Theory

    Structural random vibration effective information extraction is one of the most important issues to study the dynamic characteristics of engineering structures. Combined with singular entropy theory, an effective method of noise reduction for random vibration signal is put forward. Construct analog signal with varying degrees of noise, and the noise is reduced based on the wavelet method, IIR numeric filter, and singular entropy technique separately, and also the SNR index is calculated separately after noise reduction. Study shows that this method can determine the proper order of singular spectrum of the random vibration signal, and ensure the integrity of information contained in the signal after noise reduction and the maximum SNR improvement to a large extent.   • A Three Dimensional Mesh Improvement Algorithm Based on Curvature Flow

    In order to suppress undesirable noises in triangular meshes for quality improvement, an effective smoothing method based on curvature flow is proposed in this paper. For triangular meshes generated from planar contours, the continuity information amongst adjacent contours is utilized to determine whether a vertex represents a geometric feature to preserve or an isolated noise to smooth. Before smoothing the original mesh with an isotropic diffusion process, local adaptive refinement is performed where the sharp features are detected. In doing so, the smoothing method has both the benefits of the isotropic diffusion method, simplicity and stability, and that of the anisotropic diffusion method, feature preserving. The presented method is implemented along with several other smoothing methods, and experiments that smooth triangular meshes reconstructed from contours are performed.     Teaching-Aided Website (TAW) is a complex social technical system. As a result, the evaluation on TAW's service quality (SQ) is a complicated social process. The paper analyzes the characteristics of college TAW. Then it designs the evaluation index system and approach for measuring the Website's SQ. AT last, it gives the process and result of the case study on a college TAW. The data indicate that the elements include usability, accessibility, and empathy which have significant positive relativity with website's total SQ.     Emergency Response Organization is the foundation of the emergency response, it is also important for emergency handling. However, since emergency systems are different in different countries and regions, the expressions of emergency response organizations are inconsistent, and there are some semantic ambiguities. An emergency response organization Ontology model (ERO2M) based on SUMO was constructed in this paper, and relations among emergency response organizations, emergency resources and emergency were represented in this model. Five key Ontology elements of ERO2M were described, such as concept, relation, function, axiom and instance. Finally, ERO2M was validated by the analysis of the case of Tianjin overall emergency plan for unexpected public incidents. View full abstract»

    High-speed Railway Fundamental Information Database System (HSRDB) is an important science and technology project of railway ministry in 2006 of China. The aim of researching and designing about HSRDB is to build High-speed railway database system that perfecting and extending along with the development of High-speed railway, HSRDB has features of comprehensive content, integrated classification, legible history and high timeliness and efficiency. This paper introduces main functions of HSRDB and key problems in its achievement. It also introduces the functions of GIS subsystem and its key technologies. Based on advanced information technology of decision support, data warehouse and data mining, HSRDB fulfills the function of query and intelligence search of text, graph and multimedia data and it provides the function of technology statistics and contrast analysis in correlative domain. On the basis of MapXtreme, the GIS subsystem can provide high-speed railway sketch map of various countries such as China, Japan, Italy etc. It also provides layer exhibition query of line, station, motor base, bridge and tunnel etc, and it can also query correlative literature, design and fundamental data. The application of the system indicates that the proposed solution is a flexible and efficient tool.     Peak-to-average Power Ratio(PAPR) is considered as one of the serious side-effect of the OFDM system, which affects the efficiency of the amplifier. In this paper, we proposed a pre-coding scheme using a new encoding method of zerolization, which is based on the Information Gene(IG). The proposed technique is a new model of encoding that results as transforming no more than twelve zero and processing information which are all in low PAPR according to the principle of coding method proposed in the book of OFDM[2]. The obtained results show that this pre-coding method is not only reducing the PAPR with low complexity, also has well performance in Bit Error Rate(BER) since it has no effect on the magnitude.     In this paper, a layout optimization problem of web advertising is discussed, aiming to help Web site owners to maximize revenue through the optimal selection and placement of a set of web advertisements. Unlike most of previous research, we consider the effects of space and position occupied by web advertisements on the profits of the Web site owner, a heuristic algorithm is given to solve this problem, and an example is provided to illustrate the validity of the algorithm.     Analyzing the on the theory of geological disease about Tianshan road in detail, collected the datum of basic geography and geology along the lines of road in the past, and also combined the technology of database and remote sensing images manipulation, according synthesizing, coordinating, choosing, concluding and changing by the rules of database. It offered the favorable resolving for region stability assessment, the highway alignment route selection and 3D Visualization analysis, integrating GIS spatial analyzing technology to the Tianshan highway geo-disease appraisal and decision-making. The system developed a set of GIS manipulation flat of collecting foundations data gathering, the memory, the management, the searches, the graphic editor, the space model analysis and so on.
