  • Simulation of the autobody aerodynamics for car interior noise control

    For the analysis of car interior noise at high speed, the influence of autobody aerodynamics should be taken into account, besides the vibration and acoustic radiation of powertrain, the random excitation from road and the vibration inputs of tires, and so on. A model of CFD was built. And the most turbulent area of autobody surfaces was located. The spectrum of average aerodynamic pressure of monitoring points on front door window was also obtained by unsteady calculation. So, the more accurate analysis of car interior noise can be processed due to loading the power inputs listed above to the simulation model, which is looked as the foundation of further optimization of car interior noise control.   • Optimization of intake and exhaust system of a gasoline engine based on genetic algorithm

    A genetic algorithm with a penalty function is used to optimize the intake and exhaust system of gasoline engine, whose middle range torque was deceased a lot due to the adding of a catalyst. First two GT-power models are built based on experimental results of the gasoline engine with/without catalyst. Then the intake pipe length and diameter and exhaust pipe length and diameter are chosen as the optimal variables. A genetic algorithm (GA) with two constrain conditions is used to search the optimal result, and a penalty function is added to solve the constrain conditions. This optimization process is done by a Simulink model coupled with the GT-power models (SCG models). The final optimal result shows that the missing torque of the original engine can be well recovered. The GA model is a good optimization tool for the complex engine problem. View full abstract»

    A system-on-chip hardware/software co-design platform was presented based on model driven-based design method. After the overall architecture of platform was described, four design levels and three mapping processes were introduced. Some key techniques were explained in detail, such as hardware/software partitioning algorithm based on genetic algorithm & constraint task scheduling, UML profile for SystemC model and template-based model-to-text transform method.   • Real-time Google Earth 3D assisted driving system in surface mining operations

    To improve the mine haul trucks operating safety in surface mining, a novel driving assisted system based on the GPS, mesh-wireless networks, and the Google-Earth API was developed. It has the capability to pin-point and track vehicles in real time using a 3D interface, which is based on user-based AutoCAD mine maps using the Google-Earth graphics interface. The research results indicate that it increases reliability and reduces uncertainty in surface mining operations by customizing the local 3D digital mining map, constructing the truck 3D models, tracking vehicles, warning proximity dangers and indicating available escape routes.     A kind of serial-parallel robot which is based on the mechanism 3-PUU+2R is studied in this paper. This robot has three translating degrees of freedom and two rotating degrees of freedom, and may be used on the accurate orientation occasion. The inverse solution of attitude and position in motion equation have been deduced, so we generating a hybrid robot virtual prototype example. In order to continual analyze character of mechanism, I guide the prototype of the robot into ADAMS software, we set up the simulation model of the movement, and get some experiment results.     According to the analysis of design practice and reuse, the design experience reuse system model and design experience reuse process model was proposed. The design experience reuse system modeling includes the product case data and subsystem of design reuse. The main function is to support the visible program design, carry out the UI intercommunion. The designer changes the assembly structure of parts dynamically in design process, improving the support degree for visible program. The modeling block of reuse design experience is the key problem to program design for reuse model of design experience, which provides the theory framework for the calculation procedure, and determines the interaction relation between the reuse model of design experience and the subsystem of design reuse.     The forecast system of water atomized alloy powder's quality is an incomplete information system because of its incomplete original data. In view of the incomplete system, based on the analysis of variable rough set and set pair analysis, a new kind of generalized rough set based on set pair situation tolerance relation was proposed in this paper, and was used in the system modeling. By regulating and controlling the parameter ¿ to promise veracity and flexibility when marking up the productive condition attributes. Based on the proposed model, a cupidity algorithm of attribute significance was introduced and used to realize the productive condition attributes reduction and acquire the relative knowledge. The proposed model and algorithm were applied in the production and it shows the acquired knowledge with high rationality and validity can truly be to optimize the production process.     The efficiency, cost, and truthfulness are essentially about the exhibition of product design (PD) as well as in a rapidly changing and keenly competitive environment. The work presented in this paper focuses on presenting a new kind of product exhibiting method of PD, which introduced virtual reality (VR) into the course of exhibition of PD. In this paper, we bring up the structure model of the virtual exhibition room of product design (VRER) based on multimedia technology, and aim at expounding the method and process by which we construct the system. With the constant development of the multimedia technology, especially the network technology, we have more and more abundant exhibition means of PD. The virtual exhibition room of PD regarded as a new multimedia technology is one of the results. The VRER integrating with the sense of sight, hearing, and the tactile sense, can offer impression and experience equated with the true environment. Furthermore, the characteristics of VRER, such as small file amount, easy transmitting, lifelike, interaction, and so on, make the product design exhibition swifter and more effective. The VRER not only increases the efficiency of the PD exhibition, but also cuts down the cost of the exhibition.     Nowadays, most designs of tunnel excavation are manual, and the designs have a poor quality and slow speed. To solve these problems, the component and structure of blasting design system of tunnel excavation based on CAD technology are studied. On the basis of comprehensive analysis and influence factors, a basting CAD auxiliary system based on ActiveX interface and VBA interface technology is developed for blasting design about tunnel excavation. Some function modules, including system management, arrangement design of hole, construction design, parameter calculation, blasting data and construction information management, can meet the demands of system function. A design of blasting example of tunnel excavation shows that the system can carry out blasting design with high speed accurately. The design can also avoid the dependence of personal experience. Meanwhile, the work of blasting design becomes more reasonable. Design results can be reliable and practical.   • Calculating the minimum distance between two NURBS curves

    A novel method is proposed to compute the minimum distance between two 2D or 3D NURBS curves using control polygons in an efficient and robust way. The first step is to decompose both of NURBS curves into their piecewise Bzier forms. The second step is to use a two level selection process to select a subset of all possible pairs. The first level selection uses upper-lower bounding boxes of Bzier subcurves to remove pairs. The second level selection is based on the spatial relationship test between a pair of Bzier subcurves. The third step is to use a multidimensional Newton-Raphson method to compute the approximate local minimum distances of pairs of Bzier subcurves. By comparing all local minimum distances between a pair of Bzier subcurves, it is able to find the global minimum distance. The final step is to use the multidimensional Newton-Raphson method to improve the accuracy. View full abstract»

    Recently, a lot of hybrid methods, which combine case-based reasoning (CBR) with a genetic algorithm GA, have been suggested in product designing. However, the suggested methods perform poorly in case of creative designing. In this paper, a novel simultaneous optimization method is proposed, which combine CBR and GA with an algorithm process for simulation of directed similarity association according to human being's thought models.     For opening widely the use of loader and meet the needs of customs, the unloading highly equipment of loader was custom-made designed by genetic algorithms on the basis of normal ZL50 wheel one. In order to reduce the costs and improve the spare parts in common use, only a few spare parts in unloading equipment are redesigned and others remain unchanged.     This paper presents a method of moisture content detection from fabrics based on microwave. The moisture content of fabric fair influences efficiency and cost of produce. Thus, it is important to measure it exactly. Firstly, based on the absorbency effect of fabric with moisture about microwave, aiming at the requirement of most corporations for inspection and control of moisture content for fabric, the microwave technology is used to inspect moisture content, that is to say, a hygrometric scheme of microwave is designed. On this basis, the tested data are transmitted to the computer through data acquisition card and LabVIEW is applied to collect and process the data. Finally, the moisture content of textile is displayed on the computer screen. The factors affecting the measurement precision are analysed in this paper.     According to the theory of mean shift, a color image segmentation algorithm based on mean shift was proposed for the textile printing images. The principle of mean shift was demonstrated, and the extend principle of mean shift was educed. The extended mean shift algorithm was used to try to solve the segmentation of the textile printing image. In this issue, two main steps were introduced: the fitting of image and the segmentation of image. The influences of three parameters to the segmentation effect were analysed.     With the rapid economic and technological development, a new consumption pattern -emotional consumption arises, which begin to replace the consumption of product attributes gradually. Consumers' demand for garment products has shifted from the focus on the physical functions of products to the direction which is more desirous of comforting the soul for pleasure of emotional experience, that is, from the pure rational demand to emotional-oriented demand, the pursuit of individual self-actualization needs. People pay more attention to personality satisfaction, the pleasure of spirit, comfort and sense of superiority.
