Abstract

This paper describes recent progress made in matching the BESSY II injection kicker current pulse shapes. By changing the intrinsic pulser circuit impedance, matching of the four different pulse shapes could be improved by nearly one order of magnitude - an essential feature to allow a permanently active injection modus at BESSY II. Advanced methods to detect and measure very small differences in pulse shapes are discussed. High precision and high stability pulse measurements are a permanent issue. As this becomes more interesting, our recent progress is explained as well.
