Abstract
Highlights pervasive Java - a surge of wireless and mobile platform standardization activities led by Sun Microsystems. Driven by a fast-pace proliferation of portable devices and appliances with embedded computers, pervasive Java (also called wireless Java and mobile Java) attempts to bridge the gap between disparate devices and platforms, and profitable business and application development.
