Abstract
This paper introduces the developing status of telemedicine.
Telemedicine is based on the technology of telecommunication, and it is
one of the applications of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW).
Computer supported teleconferencing applications have been developed in
the field of CSCW and are providing more effective support for
telemedicine services. This can be achieved by a combination of high
performance networks and can reduce data transmissions during the
conference. A scheme of a telemedicine system is proposed
