Abstract
A description is given of the rapid prototyping facility (RPF) at
the Dryden Flight Research Facility of the US National Aeronautics and
Space Administration. The facility, also known as the remotely augmented
vehicle (RAV) facility, has been used to test control-law concepts on
the F-8 DFBW (digital fly-by-wire) aircraft. It is intended as an
adjunct to the usual avionics development process
