Abstract
This work presents a good algorithm for fast motion estimation search algorithm based on the motion vector prediction, which can efficiently improve the performance of the video compression. The algorithm is a two-stage search algorithm. In the first stage it mainly uses the motion vector prediction algorithm, and then searches in a diamond area. The second stage is not started until the matching block is not found in the first stage.
