Abstract
J2ME application is a portable program that can run on a mobile handset provided by the third party. Nowadays, more and more new released mobile handsets support Java while WML is the most popular markup language for the mobile network, and mobiles have a WAP browser to surf the Internet content. Nevertheless, HTML is still the most popular markup language on the Internet. It is more convenient to implement a browser as a Java application which can run on mobile handsets viewing Internet contents coded in both HTML and WML.
