Abstract
There is no single future for the power electronics business. The applications for power conversion and power management are expanding well beyond traditional electronic equipment. As a result of the growing diversity of the applications in which its products are employed, the power electronics industry faces a variety of futures and is growing foster than the electronics industry itself. This paper presents a survey of different application segments for power converters and quantifies their future trajectories.
