Calculation of intercavity coupling coefficient for side coupled standing wave linear accelerator

Expressions are developed for the main to side cavity coupling coefficient of a side coupled standing wave linac structure and for the shift in cavity resonant frequency produced by the coupling iris. The theoretical predictions show reasonable agreement with the measured values.<
