Comparison of amplitude and phase methods for position sensitive detector with high performance signal processing

This paper examines amplitude and phase methods for extracting position information from the position sensitive detector (PSD). Comparison of performance levels of both detection methods is performed under the same conditions employing a new, high performance electronic detection circuit, and independent, high resolution, reference position sensing system.
