Abstract
We present a new shape coding algorithm, which differs from previous algorithms in that both the coding and decoding are dependent on the image in which the object is defined. This way, the correlation between image and shape is removed and shape coding efficiency is improved on average by 3 times over the state-of-the-art algorithms.
