Abstract
This paper presents a system for the automatic retrieval of music
from ancient music collections (XVI-XVIII century), creating digital
documents of music from images of music sheets. This is an optical music
recognition system that uses image processing and pattern recognition
techniques. Finally, we obtain a document that contains the music
semantics: description of the notes, in time and pitches, as well as
other relevant information
