Networking benefit of hybrid fiber amplification for lightpath regenerators saving

We consider the networking benefit of selectively upgrading line optical amplifiers to Hybrid Erbium/Raman solution to reduce the number of optical-electrical-optical regenerators. We consider two different network topologies and eleven different hybrid amplification solutions.
