Cost-effectiveness assessment of transport networks based on disaggregated optical platforms

This paper compares the routing performance between disaggregated and proprietary optical line systems. Network simulations show that disaggregated solutions attain minimal traffic blocking while reducing OEO interface count with respect to multi-vendor deployments.
