Computer Aids For Operations Cqntrol In Discrete Part Manufacturing-and Fms

This paper aime at reviewing seve- ral coniieptual issues and practical implemen tation aspects of the Use of the computer technique in the simulation and operations control in the environment of discrete part manufacturing systems including flexible manufacturing systems (FMS). The external model and user's view of decision support systems for operations control are first reviewed. Several issues about the internal scheduling model based on simulation are presented next. The extensions for the FMS case are finally given.
