On families of 2N-dimensional hypercomplex algebras suitable for digital signal processing

A survey of hypercomplex algebras suitable for DSP is presented. Generally applicable properties are obtained, including a paraunitarity condition for hypercomplex lossless systems. Algebras of dimension n = 2
