Steady state and Transient State Identification for flow rate on a pilot-scale absorption column

A computationally simple method is demonstrated for automated identification of probable steady state and probable transient state in noisy flow rate process signals of a pilot-scale absorption column. The method is shown effective even when noise amplitude changes, and to several types of disturbance.
