A stability result for distributed control of the beam

In this note we consider the closed loop control of the elastic beam where the control objective is to track a desired beam shape. A Lyapunov approach is utilized and a stability in measure theorem termed d

stability is proved. Numerical simulation is provided and an extension to adaptive control where beam parameters are not known is discussed.
