Abstract
The magnetization reversal mechanism of fine cylindrical nickel particles which were electrodeposited in micropores of anodic oxidized aluminum was investigated. The maximum coercive force was observed at the easy direction of magnetization. The anisotropy field, rotational hysteresis loss, and nucleation field were measured by means of a torque magnetometer. Experimental results can be explained by the reversal model of "chain of spheres" with both fanning and parallel rotation mechanisms.
