Cascomp feedforward error correction in high speed amplifier design

The authors discuss practical implications of cascomp feedforward error correction in high-performance transconductance amplifier design and a method of extending cascomp's thermal distortion cancellation to include overdriven or common-mode inputs. The authors also briefly describe a new low-power highly integrated vertical deflection system IC using the improved cascomp that approaches the gain accuracy and thermal distortion of highly degenerated feedback designs while retaining the good overdrive recovery and speed of simple cascode differential pairs.
