Denoising of Binarized Byzantine Textual Images

Binarization methods combined with image processing are applied on document images for text - background discrimination. The proposed procedure consists of sequential image refinement and enhancement processing, on quality class categorized images. Results on Byzantine manuscripts are presented and further research is proposed.
