Re-evaluation of error terms for meaningful and practicable antenna and EMC calibration

Electromagnetic field calibrations are always influenced by boundary conditions. Boundaries are established by imperfections (e.g. cables, finite ground-plane, absorber walls) and by the measurement definition (source/spl rlhar2/detector coupling, ground-plane). A detailed discussion of coupling effects between undesirable boundaries and the measurement set-up reveals unconsidered or underestimated errors.
