The problems of a plane wave scattering from a multilayered resistive strip grating embedded in a dielectric slab without and with an impedance plane and a multilayered perpendicularly crossed resistive strip grating in free space have been analyzed in order to investigate the absorption and scattering characteristics of resistive gratings. Each of considered problems is converted into a set of integral equations, which were solved by the moment method with appropriate basis functions to ensure a fast convergence. It has been verified that the obtained solutions are very efficient over a broad range of parameters of the incident wave and considered gratings
