The frequency dependence of the complex permeability and magnetoimpedance have been measured in annealed amorphous Fe83Zr7B8Cu2 ribbons. The permeability resulting from domain wall motion in the longitudinal direction drastically decreases in the annealed sample, while the permeability from the rotational magnetization increases up to an annealing temperature of 500°C and then shows a decrease for higher annealing temperatures. The magnetoimpedance variation with annealing temperature, reflecting the change of transverse permeability due to domain wall motion, has the same dependence on annealing temperature as the longitudinal permeability derived from rotational magnetization
