Thermal and electrical injury rate kinetics in shock victims

Tissue damage after electric shock is dependent on complex interactions of field strength, frequency and duration of exposure through thermal and electrical mechanisms. To understand these interactions, we combined previously developed computational models to predict the prevalence of either thermal or direct electrical tissue damage expected in human victims when contact duration and field strength are known.
