Microwave imagery is of great interest due to the possibility to reconstitute the image of hidden objects by a non-invasive and nondestructive technique. An approach to microwave imaging by the impulse radar system is presented. In general ground- and foliage penetrating radars are widely used for microwave imaging of internal Earth regions and other opaque media like snow, grass, vegetables, dust etc. It is valuable to automate the finding process of invisible hidden objects in opaque media at a safe distance before the vehicle with the imaging radar is boarded. The possible practical application includes the detection of stones in grass or vegetables in front of the moving harvest machinery to prevent its damage.
