The paper presents the results of tests performed in the grounding system of an energized high voltage substation. Three different methods for the grounding evaluation are discussed and compared. Results show the promising capability of the alternative testing methods as well as the data processing methodologies. A new method, named the “transition method”, has proved to have some advantages over the currently used methods
