Bandwidth controllable ATM leased line services for private networks

This paper proposes the high-speed ATM leased line services that can be constructed on the ATM transport system. Bandwidth controllability of the ATM system is the most significant feature in realizing these services for flexible and cost-effective private networks. Variable-bandwidth services and VPG(Virtual Path Group) service as optional services for ordinary (fixed) leased line services are discussed in this paper with reference to service specifications, potential applications and system configurations.
