The paper addresses the area of multimedia data mining, in which non relational architectures certainly predominate and in which there are many attributes-for example, various image features-which are not directly visible to the user. Just what is multimedia data mining? The answer isn't obvious due to the nature of the data being managed. We identify and categorize the many faces of multimedia data mining. We also discuss a representation scheme for multimedia objects, which lends itself to multimedia data mining
