Planar Compact LTE/WWAN Monopole Antenna for Tablet Computer Application

A novel design of a planar multiband monopole antenna with dual parasitic shorted strips for LTE/WWAN operation in the tablet computer is proposed. The obtained impedance bandwidth across the operating bands can reach about 255/980 MHz for the LTE/WWAN bands, respectively. Only with the antenna size of 45 × 15 × 0.8 mm
