Photovoltaic (PV) electricity is seen as an important source of renewable energy. The PV array is an unstable source of power since the peak power point depends on the temperature and the irradiation level. This paper proposes an intelligent control method for the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of a PV system, this method uses a neuro-fuzzy logic controller applied to a DC-DC converter device. The different steps of the design of this controller are presented together with its simulation. The performance comparison between neuro-fuzzy logic controller and Perturb and Observe method has been carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of neuro-fuzzy logic controller to draw much energy with a fast response for variations in working conditions.
