Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems are able to deliver high data rates with high bandwidth efficiency in wireless communication. The performance of OFDM system is affected by Narrowband interference (NBI) signal. So, zero padding based compressive sensing approach is proposed to detect and mitigate the NBI in MIMO-OFDM and to analyse its performance. Here, we considered that the channel state information is known at the receiver. Under the Rayleigh fading environment and specifications of IEEE802.11g, simulations are made by varying the NBI width in sub carriers (jammer width), signal to noise ratio (SNR) and signal to interference ratio (SIR). The performance measures show that the there is significant improvement in bit error rate (BER) after applying this approach.
