A novel transformer feedback featuring wideband input matching and noise cancellation is proposed and demonstrated in a wideband differential LNA for software-defined-radio (SDR) applications. Implemented in 0.13μm CMOS with an area of 0.32mm2, the LNA prototype measures a wideband input matching S11 of less than -10dB from 1.2GHz to 6.6GHz and minimum NF of 1.8dB while consuming 11mA at 1.2V supply.
