The microelectronics portion of a new electrical engineering program at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia is described. Detail is given on the curriculum which was designed by faculty and members of an Industrial Advisory Board. Description is given of faculty hiring orientations and laboratories of the microelectronics building which will support the curriculum
