An energy-efficient cooperative spectrum sensing scheme with amplify-and-forward relaying is proposed in this letter. The goal is to minimize the total energy consumption while satisfying the sensing performance constraint. Toward this goal, a constrained optimization problem is formulated in terms of three sensing parameters (number of relays, relay amplifying gains, and number of samples). An approximate closed-form solution to the optimization problem is derived and is validated by simulations.
