Summary form only given. Tool demonstration sessions are presented for the first time at FTCS-27. Less formal than the software demonstration sessions that have been presented for several years, they provide an opportunity for the FTCS community to learn more about modeling and faultinjection tools that have been recently developed and for the tool developers to highlight new features of their tools. These tools aim to aid in the validation of dependable computing systems, an extremely important undertaking, given their growing complexity and increasing application. Each tool presenter is given a 10-minute period to present an overview of his or her tool, and given a workstation to demonstrate the tool in action during conference breaks. Given the active interest in and development of such tools, we hope these sessions will become a regular and lively part of future FTCS programs.
